So, who or what exactly is JK Subs?

It all started as an idea, as all things do.  Thanks to another subbing team, the person holding this idea was able to meet another person who loved it and wanted to jump along for the ride.  A few weeks later and another admin added to the mix, and JK Subs was born.

Named by the original founder Suki, the “JK” in JK Subs stands for Japanese and Korean, somewhat of a symbol of the mission of the group to undertake shows from both these cultures and others, finishing the projects that other subbing groups or individuals have left unfinished.

Through much trial and error, JK Subs was tried, brought down, and pushed back up.  We’ve lost many of the original members, undergone new management, both grown in numbers and shrunk again, but we are still holding strong to the mission that we started with.  There’s still much work to be done, and more goals to be fulfilled, but we all will continue to work hard to bring to you all the dramas and shows that you want to see finished.

Thank you to everyone who’s been with us since the beginning and who continue to support us and be patient with us today!
